A big thank you to Waratah Education Foundation for their support of StreetWork.
Across the next two years the foundation’s generous grant will allow StreetWork to support vulnerable young people to return to school and re-engage with their education. The 1,600 mentoring sessions funded by the foundation’s grant will make a meaningful and lasting difference to young lives. “Education plays a vital role in economic empowerment and the transition to meaningful work” says Helen Banu StreetWork’s CEO.
When asked why the foundation chose StreetWork, Geraldine Campbell, CEO of Waratah Education Foundation explained, “We selected StreetWork because their education outcomes are very much aligned to our goals. Waratah Education Foundation’s priority is around breaking the cycle of destructive behaviours that result in young people leaving school early and limiting their potential to grow, develop and live their best life ”.
