Being a parent, grandparent, or primary carer of a LGBTQIA+ young person can be wonderful and enriching, but can also seem overwhelming and confusing at times too.
Whether this is completely new to you or you are experienced and curious to understand more, this webinar will provide you with information that can make a difference to the young person in your life.
Presenters from Twenty10 will unpack the LGBTQIA+ acronym and the differences between gender identity, sexual orientation, and intersex status. They will discuss the link between mental wellbeing and acceptance of diversity, touching on realities for LGBTQIA+ people. They will go through affirmative practice- approaches that parents and carers can take that encourages and makes it safer for LGBTQIA+ young people to be themselves.
Information about resources and services will be provided following the webinar.
